Functions of Union Parishad

The Local Government (Union Parishad) Ordinance, Sections 30, 31, 32, and 33 of 1973 deal with the functions of the Union Parishad. The functions of the Union Parishad are basically divided into five parts. The union council works on municipal, police and security, revenue and administration, development and poverty alleviation, and justice in the union area.
